18 watt "Marshall" type guitar amp.

After successfully having completed the little 5 watt amp I felt better equipped to throw me over the project I actually started to scrape together the components for.

The Amp was made by Marshall from 1965 to 1968 and since has become so popular that Marshall has started to build it again.

The Marshall 18 watt amp uses this tubes; one EZ81 two EL84 and three ECC83. After receiving 2 transformers from the USA I had all the components in a box and I'm ready to start.

The first I made was the front panel. It was performed in the same way as the front plate to the Champs, except that it was easier this time because the printed image on the transparent adhesive film from Avery should not be converted to negative but remain in black text on gold background.
The project was started in spring 2006, has remained quiet until May 2007, but now I'm moving a little forward.

The chassis is finished and I can begin to mount the components.
The Amplifier Front with all the hardware installed.
The Chassis Rear View with all Tube sockets, power socket, security holder and connector for tremolo pedal and loudspeakers.
Now there just a little tap assembly then amplifier finished.
The pre-mounted amplifier with all wiring soldered.
Close-up of wiring installation on the tube side.
And input and potentiometer side.
Back of the finished amplifier with 4 - 8 - 16 ohms speaker connection.
The amplifier shall be fitted with a Celestion G12M Greenback 25 watt guitar speaker.
And then to the Cabinet:
